Well what can we say? Today was the best performance we have seen from the team. Right from the first whistle all of the boys were up for the game. Lots of passing from the team saw the ball break to Lucas to smash home from outside the box. A few good tackles from Aiden and Daniel in defence broke up their play which got us back on the attack. Two more goals from Lucas made it 3 0. Before Thomas A broke from the halfway line to the edge of the box to fire home his first goal of the season, 4 0. Marlborough's number 9 broke away and got a goal back.
Connor, up front always looked dangerous and John in midfield always looking for the ball, playing the easy pass. Ben did not have much to do in the first half. Thomas P was strong in defence and made some good tackles. Two more goals in the first half one for Thomas A and one more for Lucas made ir 6 1 at the blow of the whistle.
Ben came out on pitch for the second half and John went in goal. Connor doing some good work taking on a few players and slotting home from just inside the box. A couple more long range shots from Lucas saw him grab himself 6 goals in the game.......But the best was yet to come. A corner from Lucas saw the ball come to Ben and with a clever chip over their defence saw the ball come to Connor where he turned and flicked the ball past their keeper. One more goal from Marlborough saw the final whistle.
We would just like to add again, a great game by each and every player and now we arestarting to win some games our confidence is growing and as a team we are truely shining.
